Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve written two books and I’m currently working on my third, which is a sequel to my first book, Sound Bites.
I started writing around the age of ten due to my obsession with R.L. Stine murder mystery novels.
About five years ago, I landed a few freelance writing jobs for music and fitness columns, and started writing my first novel shortly thereafter.
I had a literary agent for a few years, but after many unsuccessful publishing attempts, I decided to release the books on my own last year. After learning how to market them, my first novel became an Amazon Kindle Top 100 Bestseller in 3 different categories. It was incredible.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest novel, Finding Mia, was inspired by several great books I’d read, and many great people I’ve had in my life. It focuses on bipolar disorder, and I had to conduct extensive research about the subject for the book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I only write at night. I find it easier when the sun is down and I have no distractions.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Jen Sincero, Jodi Picoult, Chuck Klosterman, Janet Fitch. And many, many more.
