Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Christian author who has written four books and I have several more in the works. Most of my books are in several genre, so I don’t write in just one area.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Heavenly Realities: Stumbling toward Gratitude is my newest published book. This is a 30-day journaling challenge and will help the reader see blessings within their lives that we normally look over. This journey is aimed at helping the reader be a happier and more thankful person by the end of the challenge.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Most of my writing habits aren’t done on a schedule. However, I’m working on self discipline and working more with a timeline to get more books to my readers in a timely manner.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Ann Voskamp has been a major influence in both my life and my writing. She’s helped me see God’s gifts in life with her 1000 Gifts.
What are you working on now?
At this time, I’m writing my next book, which is titled “The Gracious Wife”. It’s a book based on my life in marriage and how I strive to be a gracious, godly wife within my marriage.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I mainly use Facebook and Twitter, but I’m open to new things.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing and never stop reading. Things will be trying and at times you will want to give up. However, this is just a confirmation that you’re on the right path.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The hardest person in life you will ever have to battle is yourself. Once you get past your own issues, life will be much easier.
What are you reading now?
At this time, I’m only reading my Bible.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m gearing up to make public appearances with book signings and speaking sessions.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
How can I choose just three or four? This is impossible.
I’d definitely have to have the Bible and my book Saying Goodbye without Saying Hello. With these two books, I believe that they will give me the strength to push on and survive.
