Interview With Author Rajani Angadi
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a storyteller at heart, a mother and an IT professional turned travel writer. After years in the corporate world, I traded deadlines for daydreams and finally fulfilled a 13-year-long wish to visit Bali—a journey that became the soul of debut memoir, Bali Finally.
Why did I write it? Because I believe travel isn’t just about ticking destinations off a map—it’s about rediscovering yourself, laughing through unexpected mishaps, and creating moments with loved ones that outlast souvenirs.
What can readers expect? A heartfelt, humorous, and honest glimpse into her Bali adventure. From mother–daughter bonding and cultural surprises to personal reflections and lighthearted stories, Bali Finally is both a travelogue and an invitation to embrace your own journeys—wherever they may lead.
When I am not writing, I love working as a freelancer and exploring places.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Bali Finally – Patience, Passport and a Pinch of Personal Growth
I visited Bali after dreaming 13 years ago. This journey taught me and my daughter many things. Hence the subtitle summing up both.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Jeffery Archer has been my all-time favorite. Twinkle Khanna is another author I admired for her wit and stories.
Eat, Pray and Love definitely influenced me in many ways.

I have two ideas in my mind. I have not started working on either. Still figuring out how best to narrate.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I tried advertising my book, reaching out to my known circle of people, Amazon KDP select, free book promotion.
Also, I tried promotional vides and posts on social media. It is still work in progress.
I reached out many readers who review books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Understand your audience, genre, promotion techniques while writing a book. Good content plus good promotional strategy takes the book far. Keep improvising, try new things in promotion.

Just start writing, things will fall in place.
What are you reading now?
The Marked: Crimson Rising
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am still in promotional phase of current book. I definitely want to write more so that I can inspire people to chase their goals or dreams.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would prefer to take self-help, meditation related books to survive on island
