Ray Ortiz arrived at the age of 18 to Atlanta, Georgia with only $50.00 to his name, a piece of luggage, no family and no domain of the English language. The author shares in this book his experience of persistence and spiritual journey, which translated into great life lessons and tips. Due to his endeavors and accomplishments, he decided to become a writer and Spiritual speaker after a successful career in vary industries. His most recent Life lesson was the challenge to endure a divorce after 20 years of marriage. Today, Ray Ortiz is fully recovering from the experience and with a great deal of wisdom, he decided to write this book and many others in progress. What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Beyond the Fog, a journey of self-awareness. This book was inspired by a sense of a calling to share with everyone my personal experiences of overcoming life challenges and the realization of my spirituality approach toward how to resolve them. As my intuition always has guided me since I was a young adult to the point to become a GPS on all my endeavours, I decided to follow it and write this inspired book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My writing is intuitive. I feel as someone is dictating the context of my writing. Whenever I am ready to write, it happens as a whisper talking next to my ear and letting me know is time.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I do have a unique way of writing, and perhaps authors as Wayne Dyer, Louis Hays and Deepak Chopra could be considered as a source of influence.
What are you working on now?
I have several books in progress. The next book to be published will be title The Backpacker – a spiritual lesson of traveling lite.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
To promote a book, I used all channels available. I do workshops on local bookstores, Facebook, Book bloggers. These are some examples.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice is, write because you want to share your inspiration, be patience with the process to be known and be passionate so you do not quit.
