I’m a newbie author! My first novel is “The Icarus Prediction”
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called “The Icarus Prediction”. The book is about a Wall Street hotshot who makes a risky trade that goes awry and then he is faced with some very difficult decisions to “fix things”. The book was inspired by a conversation I had with a colleague of mine who worked in “high stakes” finance where he eluded that certain traders did some quite unbelievable things to make sure their trades turned a profit.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Some of my best writing comes at 2 in the morning!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Unlike any other normal authors out their, there are really no authors or books that have influenced me. This is because I have literally not read a single fiction novel since high school (I think it was “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka which turned me off to reading for a while). I did read other things like blogs, websites, newspapers etc, but no novels. While writing “The Icarus Prediction”, I borrowed a few random books (including Harry Potter) to actually reacquaint myself on proper narrative structure.
What are you working on now?
The sequel to “The Icarus Prediction” which is “Omen of Icarus”
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
GoodReads is a great platform to build an audience.

Spend time building a following, not obsessing over sales stats

What are you reading now?
I decided to start reading again and the first book on the shelf is “The Martian”

Get the sequel out as soon as possible 🙂
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would take a few empty notebooks to write instead of read!
