About Rescuing Molly: A Journey of Hope
When college student Brett McKenzie finds a scared and injured five-year-old Collie in a muddy abyss, he rescues her and relocates her to his home in Charlotte, North Carolina. He discovers a profound connection with the dog and christens her Molly. Life seems perfect until a web of lies and a devastating MS diagnosis test their unique bond, eventually tearing them apart. Follow Molly from her carefree days as a puppy named Tara, through the cruel incident that leaves her stranded in a pit, to a second abandonment as a senior canine. Inspired by true events, “Rescuing Molly: A Journey of Hope” explores the complicated world of dog breeding, the destruction caused by illicit opioid use and misplaced devotion, the effects of MS on one’s life, and the hope and joy that dogs receive from rescue groups.
