Interview With Author Rhonda Anderson-James
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Born in the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, I am a proud faithful servant who is a mother of three and the last of six siblings, a woman who wears many hats and is a strong believer of the word of God. I have written two books, currently awaiting the publishing of the second manuscript. It is my goal to guide through the leading of the Holy Spirit persons to a saving knowledge of God through this compacted daily devotional.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is a dream Journal and it was inspired by the need the hear the voice of God through dreams and visions and know it is he who has spoken. In this time and season we lost if we know not his voice.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, I allow the Holy Spirit to direct me when I write. I don’t write just because I want to I write but because it is what God wants me to do. As such, my writing times vary based on the urge of the Holy Spirit to write at that specific time.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
When I was a child I was fascinated by fiction books as such books written by Harry Potter etc. which became my strength. As an adult I no longer read secular books but focus my emphasis on books that build me and propel me to another season in my life. Books written by authors Miles Munroe and Mattie Nottage are just a few to be named that has influenced me greatly.
What are you working on now?
Presently I am working on The Diary of a Faithful Servant.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
When it comes to promoting my books the best method for me is face book. This method reaches a wider audience of mixed age groups.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Oh yes I do ๐ As an emerging author, I will advise persons to pray before attempting to write your manuscript. Praying for clarity of thoughts, vision and strength to complete the manuscript. I will also encourage new authors to be led by God and not try to lead in an effort to become an author. New authors should always keep in mind that all things are possible through Christ that strengthens them.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Nothing is impossible through Christ.
What are you reading now?
At present nothing.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To continue the manuscript A Faithful Servants Diary.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I refuse to die – Mattie Nottage
Understanding the purpose & power of prayer- Myles Munroe
