Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Two books “in print” and now in e book form. “Sammy Goes North” and “Sammy’s New Adventure”.
Both written in the 1990’s and self published then. Now as e books and shortly as live feed audio with sound effects and music!
These are books for children, based on my 25 years working with horses of all sizes and shapes 24 hours every day!
In process are my diary stories in book form. About 400 incidents of my “strange” life.
“Doesn’t everyone live this way” is the subtitle to these stories which have been prompted by comments from the thousands of visitors to the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre over the last 20 years or so!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
It’s a Rum Life!
or
“Doesn’t everyone live this way”, book two, “Boston 1960 to 1970”.
Inspired by my original diary stories, depicting daily life with the horses; written for my last newspaper employers eight years or so after I had left them.
These were published monthly together with a cartoon in the Horncastle News Series published at that time by The Mortons Group. The actual newspapers are now owned by the Johnson Group.
