About Richer by the Dozen: What We Gain When We Let Go by Pamela Mutz
What We Gain When We Let Go
What if the life you’ve carefully planned is keeping you from something better? Maybe you’ve felt the pressure of holding it all together, wondering how others seem to live with open hands. Or perhaps you’ve been so focused on reaching your goals that you’ve overlooked the gifts woven into your every day.
In Richer by the Dozen, Pamela Mutz shares her journey of raising twelve children with honesty, humor, and hard-won wisdom. From laugh-out-loud adventures to the devastating loss of a child, Pamela weaves together both heartbreaking and heartwarming stories that reveal an enduring truth: surrender isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a source of strength.
In this book, you will learn how to:
– Work through disappointment and trust God’s plan.
– Move beyond regret and embrace forgiveness.
– Tune into the Holy Spirit during seasons of uncertainty.
– Break free from perfection and focus on what matters.
– Release one season to embrace the next.
Richer by the Dozen blends vulnerable stories with honest reflections from both Pamela and her now-grown children, each offering a unique perspective on how surrender takes shape in different seasons of life. For anyone wrestling with the tension between their plans and God’s purpose, this book is a transformative reminder that when we release what we’re holding too tightly, we can gain far more than we ever imagined.

Author Bio:
Pamela Mutz has never learned the meaning of “bored.” A Colorado native, Indiana Hoosier, and Florida Gator, she loves the outdoors, spontaneity, and time spent with Jesus. She is the proud Mama of seven boys and five girls (yup, twelve kiddos!) and “Zaza” to thirty-seven grandkids and counting. Though she, too, faces dust bunnies, a baby belly, and little time for creativity, she is passionate about encouraging women to move past what’s comfortable and discover God’s unique adventure for their lives—especially in the mundane.
For nearly three decades, she and her husband, Bill, have spoken at FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember marriage conferences. She also serves on the boards of FCA, Deeper Walk International, and Florida Children’s Museum. Connect with Pamela at www.DozenMom.com.
