Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Writer/Filmmaker. I’ve written/published five novels and picture books on Amazon. I love the craft and connecting with readers, creators, and writers.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
BOMBER JACKETS was the inspiration for a true incident in 1977, South Brooklyn, when homophobia ran rampant in one particular area.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. Up at dawn, break, then back to work 6-9pm.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Richard Price, Donna Tartt, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Hunter S. Thompson, Nicole Strauss, Capote.
What are you working on now?
I’m still re-editing my published novels.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Just use the best and reliable promo sites out there, like Awesome Gang, Cravebooks, Fussy Librarian…
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Do not rely on AI. Be true to yourself. READ.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
READ. EDIT. Don’t listen to unreliable sources.
What are you reading now?
The next Donna Tartt novel, whenever THAT will be.
What’s next for you as a writer?
EDIT my published novels. Fix what might be broken.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Secret History, The Breaks, Books of Blood.
