Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write mostly Western Historical Romance and Native American Romance, but have a paranormal romance book and a supernatural romance book out as well. There are 6 books in my Chance City Series and my Paha Sapa Saga has 4 books published. I’ve planned for at least 12 books in each series.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’m a true night owl and write best in the wee hours. I also write best when I’m playing around on the Internet. I need a lot going on in order to write well.
What are you working on now?
My current work in progress is the 7th book in my Chance City Series, A Very Decker Christmas.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Facebook and Twitter are the best places for promoting my books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be your own advocate and explore every avenue to promote your books. This is true for both Trad and Indie authors. Use social media sites, word of mouth, put out a press release in your local paper, and set up book signings. Network with other authors and take care of our readers by offering them the best quality books you possibly can.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t give up, don’t let bad reviews get you down, and let the story be your guide.
What are you reading now?
Where White Men Fear to Tread by Russell Means.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m going to be setting up a couple of book signings this year and continuing to get all of my books in audio book and print form.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Four books by Stephen King that I haven’t already read. That’ll keep me busy for a while if I stretch them out.
