Interview With Author Rosemary O’Connor McKittrick
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
This is my first non-fiction book. On the road to recovery from divorce, loss and betrayal after a 35 year marriage, I wanted to share some of the lessons I learned and some of the strategies that made a real difference in my life.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Aging With Heart: 12 Inspiring Ways Women Over 50 Can Recover From Divorce, Betrayal, and Loss
Experiencing my own painful divorce and loss inspired this book. I wanted to support other women in their recovery journey.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write best early in the morning. My head is clear and my energy is high. I also write with my beloved cat Leo sleeping next to me in his cat bed.

Some of my favorite authors include, Pema Chodrun, Jack Kornfield, Ram Dass, Mary Oliver, Sharon Salzberg, Joseph Goldstein, Tony Robbins, Tara Brach

Don’t stop. You have a book in you. Write it!
