About Roundball Memories, USA: Letters to a Fan: Conversations with Professional and Amateur Players, Coaches and other VIP’s of the Sport (Volume Two) by Dr. Joseph D. Di Lella
Roundball Memories, USA: Letters to a Fan (Volume 2) continues the two book series, but in this one the focus is on the later part of professional basketball (The NBA of 1980’s, 90’s and 2000’s up to present).
The earliest chapter focuses on the early NCAA college game with conversations from famous coaches from the 1950-2000 with such legends such as John Wooden, Bobby Knight, Ray Meyer Dean Smith, Denny Crum and others more prominent in the later part of the century and in the 2000’s like Coach Mike Krzyzewski, Gene Keady, Norm Stewart, Bob Huggins and Mike Montgomery. This book also gives an overview of the women’s and men’s college basketball since the 2000’s.
Additionally, Roundball Memories, USA explores the early leaders and players of the WNBA, FIBA, international play in Brazil, American radio and television broadcasters, All-Star role players/bench warmers throughout the league’s history, NBA owners and NBA coaches. The book ends on a positive note as to how the pro circuit has contributed to the better of society in America and the world at large.
As a fan, I hope you enjoy the journey the book takes you into through the memories of those who you admired and many you may not have know even existed.
