About Rumours and Repercussions
EVERY SMALL TOWN HAS ITS DARK SECRETS.
It’s 1979, and free-spirited Kylie Gardner has one thing on her mind: spending the whole summer break with her best friends from Orange West High: Sharon, Helen and Tahlia. They call themselves The Sunsets, bonded by their mutual love of listening to music, riding their bicycles and swimming at the local lake. Every year, they spend the summer holidays together. But this year is different. This year, Kylie falls for the school bad boy, and a dark revelation unfolds that will alter The Sunsets’ lives, and have dire consequences that will haunt them for countless years to come.
Decades later, Kylie must return to Orange – but the town she once loved holds disturbing secrets and evokes haunting memories. On her journey back, she reveals the unrest and deception that unfurls leading up to one fateful night back in the summer of ’79.
Rumours and Repercussions is a story about friendship, the loss of innocence and, ultimately, bravery among best friends who will do anything for each other.
