About Running with the Enemy
An innocent man. A traitor’s crime. Proving himself not guilty could cost too many lives…
Vietnam, 1966. Ethan Card bleeds loyalty. But despite his unswerving allegiance, the Recon Marine still falls dangerously hard for a beautiful local girl trained to kill Americans. And when a rogue CIA agent blackmails him with evidence of their trysts, the stone-cold fighter is horrified to realize that both sides want them dead.
Doing the unthinkable and deserting his brothers in arms to save her skin, Ethan pulls his lover out of a nest of enemy combatants and flees through the humid, hungry jungle. But with torture-happy psychopaths closing in, warring armies planning their demise, and boltholes collapsing by the minute, their mission to find a safe haven could prove fatal.
With everything on the line, will Ethan’s race to survival end as a gut-wrenching casualty of war?

Author Bio:
Lloyd Lofthouse is a US Marine (1965—1968) and combat vet living with PTSD. After the Marines, he attended college, where he heard Ray Bradbury speak in 1968. After getting bit by the writing bug, Lloyd earned a BA in journalism and later an MFA. His first job out of college was with a large trucking company. A few years later, Lloyd left that job to teach English and writing to middle and high school students (1975 – 2005). During his early years as a teacher, he also worked nights and weekends as a maitre d’ for The Red Onion, where Lloyd was introduced to the art of seduction. He’s traced his ancestors back to the reign of Britain’s King Alfred the Great around AD 900. In fact, the village of Lofthouse is located in West Yorkshire.
