Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I grew up outside of Arizona on a ranch. Today I work on a cranberry farm in Wisconsin. I’m married with two kids. I have written two books: Milwaukee’s Revenge and Bow Season. Milwaukee’s Revenge is about a young couple who get attacked during a BLM riot in Milwaukee. The police look the other way and it becomes a race between a man out for revenge and the one detective who is trying to do the right thing… This was written in 2017 and published in March. What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Bow Season is my latest book. An unlikely pair of detectives find a girl shot in the Northwoods of Wisconsin during bow season. The crime scene matches one from twelve years ago. The duo dives into a winding case that connects the two girls. This book has lots of banter and will leave you guessing until the end. My inspiration would be shows like True Detective.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write on my couch with the television on mute.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Gillian Flynn, James Patterson, and Stephen King are my favorites.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on a book called “The Factory”
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon Ads
Do you have any advice for new authors?
In my opinion, try to write every day! Even if it’s just a little, keep moving forward.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you want to write a book, go write it. Don’t be a person who says they’d like to but they never have time. Nobody has time!
What are you reading now?
A Time to Kill by John Grisham
What’s next for you as a writer?
My plan is to finish “The Factory” this summer and then to either start on a sequel to “Bow Season” or try a western.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Lonesome Dove, Dead Man’s Walk, Comanche Moon, and Streets of Laredo… My favorite book and it’s running mates. It helps that they’re all really long too.
