About S.T.O.R.M. Chronicles: The Tyrus Campaign
Adrian had finally fulfilled his dream of becoming a captain aboard a Sabre class cruiser, and not just any cruiser but the flagship Aurora. For him the dream was the high point of his career as now with a cruiser he could truly begin to explore the vastness of space. Everything was going well for him, all he had to do was return home after a simple colony tour and then he would receive his orders to journey beyond the boundaries of the H.I.O. However, all of his dreams are brought to a halt when he receives word of a communication relay had stopped working and his ship needs to go investigate it. But what should be a simple matter becomes far more complicated when the relay is discovered destroyed and the culprits are nowhere to be found. As Adrian takes the ship on a journey to find whoever destroyed it, he comes face to face with the last thing he expected it to be. An alien race.
Oslo was a young marine serving in the 42nd platoon. He was expecting to serve out his two-year contract in peace and quiet. And why shouldn’t he, the pirates had been reduced to nothing more than common marauders and even then, their attacks were becoming more and more scarce. No, it would be quiet for him and by the end he would have enough money to buy the survey ship he along with his brother had dreamed of before they would set out to see what they could out amongst the stars. So, when the order came for his platoon to join the Aurora on her colony tour Oslo hoped for at least a little excitement to finally see space. Instead, it was boring and repetitive. That is until the Aurora is sent on an investigation, and they come face to face with an alien race.
In the aftermath of their encounter both men diverge on two different paths. For Oslo he is recruited into the Special Tactical Operational Response Mechanized infantry unit known as STORM. Within the unit he lives out dreams that any childhood boy would give anything for, and that is to pilot a new line of mechanized infantry machines known as goliaths. For Adrian he falls down a hole of depression that he only slips deeper into as his personal demons drag him down into it.
For both men instead of exploring space they find themselves plunged into a nightmarish war where every day will be a struggle to overcome the challenges set forth in front of them. All they do know is that the first move is to head to the moon of the planet Tyrus and discover what the fortunes of war have in store for them.
