David Lagattuta Jr. is an author, sociologist and advocate for compassion, resilience and belonging. Born and raised in New Orleans, he blends heart, empathy and imagination in his stories. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, he champions equality and the trans community. Outside of writing, David enjoys gardening, playing the ukulele and spending time with his partner, family, friends and animals.
