Interview With Author SARA Fitzgerald
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I love writing, watercolor painting, hanging out with my family, and my dog, Glitter.
I write clean romance novels, most of which are set in Salt Lake City and are inspired by my life. For example, Pink and More Pink Haily is a beauty consultant raising her daughter and has a zany American Eskimo dog. I sold Avon for 14 years, have a beautiful daughter, and my own zany American Eskimo Dog. Making a Mess of Things is about a struggling artist, much like myself, and the total business suit she finds herself entangled with.
I also write paranormal YA books full of danger, secrets, and magic.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Who’s Chasing Who is my newest release. It was inspired by a visit to my friend in Phoenix, AZ. We were eating at a Mexican restaurant. A clown was selling balloons, and soon, the idea of Who’s Chasing Who flooded my mind.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My daughter has a lot of appointments and dance classes, so I take my laptop with me and giant pink noise-cancelling headphones so I can write. I like to write in silence, which is hard to find in this hectic world of ours.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love reading romance novels.
What are you working on now?
A YA book about a Siren and the only guy in the world who can save her from vanishing into seafoam.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I love this site.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t chase after what the trends are; you won’t be happy. Your best writing comes from what you love to write about, no matter what that is. Trends will come and go.

Writers write
What’s next for you as a writer?
Turning my books into audiobooks.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Wow this is a hard one, I think I would just take my kindle LOL
