Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a first-time author. I live in California and love going to Disneyland and Universal. I play a lot of video games, watch a ton of movies and tv shows and of course read a lot. When I have free time, I make videos on my Youtube channel. I have only written one book, as of right now.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Cataclysmic Ascension Book One The Vanderlaan Legacy is my one and only book so far. My love for the Medieval times played a huge part in creating this world. I love that time in history. Knights, Castles, Kings and Queens. The other thing that inspired my book was Fantasy and my love of Dragons.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Sometimes I listen to music while I write and imagine how the story would play out like a movie with the song in the background.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
J.K. Rowling has been a huge influence to me. Because of her I started reading and once Harry Potter was over I started writing. I owe her a great deal.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on book two in The Vanderlaan Legacy
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I don’t know. I’m still trying to figure that out.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write what you love and don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t get it published. Never give up and make sure you have fun with it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Love what you do and never give up.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading Windwitch by Susan Dennard.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan on making my book into a series and hopefully one day see it in bookstores around the world.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
That is a very hard question but if I had to choose. One of the books from Harry Potter, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes and Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
