About Setting Free the Pigs
Jack Spratt (his real name) is a strait-laced, occasionally backsliding vegan living his very orderly life—until he meets Jane, a free-spirit and also a vegan, on a subway car. For both of them, there’s an instant attraction, both physical and philosophical.
When Jane suggests that they infiltrate the facilities of the most notorious pig farmer in the United States, the abominable Franklin Fern, in order to release the pigs imprisoned there, Jack is naturally hesitant. After all, it wouldn’t be prudent for a respectable, if not dull, accountant to be part of such extremist action.
Yet, love can make a man (or woman) do stupid things, so despite his misgivings, he joins Jane’s happy band of eco-terrorists on a mission to free the pigs.
Meanwhile, Luca Postino, former gun-for-hire turned private detective, is employed by Franklin Ferns Farms to investigate a serious of threatening communications from persons unknown. His mission: determine where the threats are coming from and prevent violent actions against the company.
As the anarchists travel slowly and painfully southward to conduct their infiltration, Luca works to uncover who may be behind the threat and prevent an attack before someone is killed. Is he facing an inside job, and if so, how does he capture the perpetrators in time?
The insane conclusion is both shocking and hilarious.
Author’s note: This novel introduces Luca Postino, a recurring character in the coming Pegasus Files book series. Stay tuned!
