About Shadows of the Past: Legend of the Dragon Knights by Athena Konrad
In the world of Ardaman, a world beyond Earth filled with all the magic and myth you can magine, Alex was taken in as a child and raised by the Alpha and Luna of the Boronduin pack after she was discovered near death in the mountain pass leading to their territory.
Since then she has had no memory of where she came from or who her family was. On top of that, she has lost the most important part of herself; a part of her very being.
Years later the Alpha wants to marry her off to a young future Alpha of a small pack, who claims to be her compatible bondmate. Being almost in her mid-twenties and unmated makes her father believe the young man, but Alex knows the truth of her fate and after discovering that this Alpha’s pack has a heinous plot, she decides to run away to protect her pack and the valley she calls home; so she runs to the only place she knows no one will find her. Instead of reaching her destination, she is taken hostage by one of the Shadows: Large, lone beasts that no one knows anything about, but everyone fears them for their unmatched and feral reputation.
Once in the Shadows’ territory, she fights for her freedom and uncovers truths about the Shadows and the mysterious Erisdar forest. Mysteries soon start to unravel as unknown forces and powers stir within her very soul and Alex discovers ancient secrets entombed and forgotten for thousands of years and a greater intertwined destiny than she could have ever imagined.

Author Bio:
I am a young woman living on a farm in Africa. Books have been a passion of mine ever since I discovered the bookshelf in my 5th grade English teacher’s classroom. I read through that shelf in less than two weeks and since then I’ve been hooked to books.
About five years ago, I started writing fantasy to pass the time, since reading and writing gave me an escape in a difficult time of my life.
Now, after positive feedback from sharing one of my stories on Inkitt, I have decided to try my hand at publishing. I thought that if I can make something with my passion, then it was worth a shot if it could help me towards a better independent future.
