Interview With Author Shanae Cooper- Robinson
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a child of King Jesus who wears many hats that fit. I am an educator, author, public speaker, etc. I have written one book so far.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my book is , ” From the Root to the Fruit, Rising Above Adversities. I was inspired to write this book because I want to leave a legacy for my offspring. I want them to use my hardship as reference point to appreciate what they have in life and take nothing for granted.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Most definately. I write at my best in the early mornings , when I am inspired to do so as well as when there is a still quietness and tranquility.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I get a lot of inspiration from Alvin Daye and Ben Carson, since recently I am really intrigued by this book written by Denise Caesar, ” Making Married Life Easy.”
What are you working on now?
I am working on my best possible self , thriving to live the life that God designed for me; one that is purpose-driven and goal-oriented.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
The best method that I use for promoting my book is, book tour and if I could add another, that would be speaking engagements. I use Facebook solely for the purpose of connecting, building relationship with customers as well as for increasing my visibility.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Every successful author started where you are. Success does not happen overnight, you have to be willing to put in the work to get the desired results that you want.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Put God first in every single thing you do. This is a principle that I apply to my life and it always yields the best results.
What are you reading now?
I’m reading the Prayer of Jabez (assigned by my coach), On Your Marks, Set… Lead by Anna Marshall, Making Married Life Easy by Denise Caesar and the Book of all books, the Holy Bible.
What’s next for you as a writer?
You know that an author’s most favorite thing to do is write, but other than that I want to build my brand, increase my visibility, collaborate with other authors and help aspiring authors to realize their dreams. Ultimately, I want to go where ever God leads me, pursue my purpose and just do more than what the ordinary person does.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, Think Big, Gifted Hands , If Caterpillar Can Fly, So Can I
