Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
The author has lived all of his life to date in Dorset, a beautiful part of England. On leaving school in 1978 he joined the Dorset Police Constabulary as it was then known and served as a uniformed police patrol officer. He retired from the Police Service in 2008.
Aside from his work, the author has had a deep interest in matters concerning spirituality, which has taken him twice to India to meet and spend time with the famous avatar Sri Sathya Sai Baba-once in 1998 in Kodaikanal and again in 2004 in Puttaparti. He was also invited to and visited in 1999 the Native American Indian Reservation in Taos, New Mexico- by a shaman called ‘Standing-Deer’- the son of the local tribal medicine-man.
Simon began his own conscious ‘inner spiritual journey’ in 1987 when he started to practise meditation and spent time in the company of many other ‘seekers of spiritual truth’ .The author has also been a regular visitor to many ancient and mystical places, particularly in the south-west of England, which has many such places. This including Glastonbury: a place of myths and legends and a certain mystical energy. This area to him, has always been like an ‘open air spiritual university’, and a place which has brought him many deep, spiritual experiences, including many personal contacts from whom he learnt a great deal and which helped his own spiritual development in various ways.
After over thirty years of his own spiritual practice, including meditation, healing and self-healing work, the author decided it was to time to share, through his ability to connect directly to spirit, the information which he has learnt to access by various techniques. He decided it was time to write this book and hopefully the first with several to follow and which was something he knew he had to do for a long time.
Due to his busy schedule, his first book took him two years to write and is titled “Awakening to Love” and is now available and published by Balboa Press in the UK. It is a channeled book, written as a series of his questions with channeled answers about ‘the spiritual relationship to consciousness, universal love and awareness and the current global shift towards the greater awareness of such in humanity.
Whenever asked about his own spiritual belief or religion. The author would simply state that he believes in ‘the golden thread of truth which runs through all of the main religions in the world’.
