About Sinister Stories and Twisted Tales by Anthony L. Abraham
In a tapestry of interlinked cosmic horrors, Sinister Stories delves into the Theseus paradox, promising a mind-bending journey that will tear you apart.
In these avant-garde narratives, you’ll navigate the mysterious Amalgam Engineers who manipulate destiny with the Drums of Jaiyi. Witness a mother’s desperate attempt to protect her son, leading to unforeseen consequences. Follow a man’s chilling pursuit of forbidden technology to save his daughter. Prepare yourself for “57 Minutes,” where the quietude of impending doom collides with existential reflection, and “Smiley Face,” a chilling portrayal of betrayal and revenge.
Each story offers unsettling and thought-provoking explorations into the human psyche and realms beyond nightmares and dreamscapes. This anthology immerses you in puzzles reminiscent of Black Mirror or Tales from the Loop. It’s a journey through visually stunning landscapes of imagination, where each story acts as a jilted frame in a dark hallway, inviting you to uncover hidden truths and explore the depths of human existence.

Author Bio:
Do you love ‘The Twilight Zone’ and ‘Black Mirror,’ or ‘Tales from the Loop’? Do you love Philip K. Dick, Stephen King, and H.P. Lovecraft?
Me too! And, just like those above, I love finding new and different ways to create haunting, mind-bending tales.
If anything, you will find my style wholly unique; crafted with a lyrical flare that is poetic and haunting.
All of my stories and books are interlinked cosmic horrors that explore the Theseus paradox while navigating a tapestry of twisted tales.
And these ‘tall tales’ are not for everyone… I know. But for some, you will find the clues. You’ll see the picture grow; the pieces slowly fall into place. You’ll see what’s hidden between the lines and ‘inside’ the words on the page.
And yes, there are some unconventional approaches… The book in its entirety is part of the story. A title page may be something more. You might wonder why a name is omitted… Or redacted. The stories are meant to spill over, somewhat, into our world. Everything is connected.
If you’ve read this far, here’s the really weird part:
No doubt you’ve heard that sometimes stories ‘write themselves.’
Yep, that’s the real deal. There are exact moments and stories (like “Lucky Tuky,” for instance) where I had an idea and started typing, and then next thing I know, it’s hours later and I’m watching as the end of the story—the last sentence—flows through me and… the ending is a surprise, even to me. If you’re a writer too, you know what I’m talking about… right?
