Interview With Author Sivakumar Kannan
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m the founder of Wise Books International, passionate about creating fun and valuable non-fiction. I’ve written 3 books so far and plan to write several activity, and self-help books designed to both entertain and educate readers of all ages.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Would You Rather? Holiday Edition. It was inspired by my love for humor, games, and creating shared moments for families, especially during festive seasons.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I often brainstorm while walking, bathing or waking up from the bed! Ideas come alive when I step away from the screen and let creativity flow freely.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I draw inspiration from authors like James Clear for clarity, and Russell Brunson for marketing focused writing. I love books that teach through simplicity and structure.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on a micro habits book for adults — 100 actionable habits that improve life one small step at a time. It’s practical, inspiring, and designed for daily use.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon Ads combined with a simple email funnel on my website, wisebooksintl.com, works best for me. Consistent testing and tweaking is key to getting results.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Start small but stay consistent. Focus on your reader, not perfection. Keep publishing, keep learning and treat it like a business from day one.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Don’t wait for motivation — create a routine that makes action automatic.” That mindset changed the way I approach both writing and life.
What are you reading now?
I’m revisiting Atomic Habits and exploring $100M Offers by Alex Hormozi — both are full of practical gold nuggets for personal growth and business.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m building a powerful series of self-help tool kits, starting with habit building, mindfulness, productivity, mindset, and financial clarity — all designed to be action-focused and reader friendly.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Atomic Habits by James Clear, The Almanack of Naval Ravikant, Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss, and something fun like Diary of a Wimpy Kid to stay light-hearted!
