Six Moons, Seven Gods by Robert A. Walker
When the idyllic world of medieval Baelon is fractured by the murderous Takers Guild, a battle for control ensues between the forces of good and evil. The long fingers of the guild reach everywhere. Headquartered deep in the Lawless Lands, its supreme leader, the Magister, weaves a complex web of death and deceit. With an army at his disposal, he enlists the aid of assassins and thieves–masters in the art of illusion and trickery–to kill both monarchs of Baelon and add to his trove of buried treasure. Joining forces to stop him are a prescient woman and her brooding daughter (who turns out to have skills of her own), a retired royal guard still loyal to the crown, and a clever marshal leading the king’s army. Welcome to the world of Baelon, where loyalty and treachery live under the same roof; where friendships are formed and tested, true love is made to wait, and dangerous secrets are held close to allegiant hearts.
Nothing’s as it seems, and everything’s at stake.

Robert A. Walker grew up in Northwestern Massachusetts. After graduating college, he packed his scant belongings in a car with rusted-out floorboards and headed west. He’s lived in California ever since, and now resides along the Pacific Ocean with his wife and dogs, where he writes fantasy novels with hints of grim dark and romance.
His debut novel, Six Moons, Seven Gods, received several honors, including The Chrysalis BREW Project’s Readers’ Choice Award for June, 2024; Chick Lit Cafe’s Book Excellence Award for Best Medieval Fantasy, November, 2023; a Literary Titan Gold Book Award in December, 2023, and a Readers’ Favorite Bronze Award in 2024. When not fabricating stories, he can be found roaming local tennis courts or working on a never-ending list of DIY house projects.
