Thomas Hollyday (1942 to present) was born in Easton, Maryland, in the Chesapeake. He attended Johns Hopkins University where he studied with the Writing Seminars of Elliot Coleman. Later he worked with C Michael Curtis of the Atlantic Monthly. His work centers on the stories and romances of the characters of the fictional town of River Sunday in the Chesapeake. Its people face good and evil living with the modern world and fight back its dangers with their ingenuity and cunning. All his books portray interesting animals caught in the trials of the town. The history and nature of the area figures prominently in the fiction as Hollyday writes with talent of the interlocking of the past and present. His ten previous books have received many five plus reviews.
