Interview With Author Stephanie Allen-Gobert
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have been writing since I was young! It has always been my outlet. I have two published and written books now with several journals and log books as well.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Turning the Mountain of Molestation into a Molehill. It was inspired by my personal trials and how I overcame them.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, no unusual writing habits…just make it fun and relaxing for myself and expressing myself as I am lead.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Maya Angelou, Terry McMillian, Joel Osteen, TD Jakes and Sara Jakes and so many more that truly usually their writing to bless others and inspire.
What are you working on now?
It’s a secret…no I am just praying and waiting until I am lead as to what is next. I was so nervous about getting this short book out and what the “world” and others would think-but I am so proud of myself for not being defeated and doing and saying what I felt and what needed to be said…in my own way and words!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Just getting started. I have my own personal website where I put my books but I am researching so many other outlets that will be beneficial in promoting.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
If you write it…they will come! Stay consistent- I was quiet for so long just truly paralyzed by fear at time…but we all have a story that needs and must be shared…one book at a time…We got this!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
There is a light at the end of tunnel-keep dreaming…my dreams matter and will come to pass
What are you reading now?
Studying for school and a registry probably until the end of the year but if I see something I like I read in between these things…I just finished a Joel Osteen book ( I think this was my 3rd or 4th one for the year) so we will see…
What’s next for you as a writer?
To continue to write and get my brand and books out there. I will start to speak at facilities to truly help others with my testimonies.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
