Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Steve Stephenson an admitted bibliophile, who collects fantasy and science fiction memorabilia. He obtained a B.A. in history and a M.A. in information technology.
Kathryn Tedrick is a writer and ghostwriter in the fantasy, science fiction, and young adult genres with one book that was made into a movie, and numerous books written and published as a ghostwriter over the past thirty years.
We have written 3 books in the War of the Staffs Series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The last book we wrote was The Battle of Dragon Isle. It is the third book of the War of the Staffs trilogy. It is the culmination of a world at war between good and evil and the machinations of the different characters.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
We sometimes mentally talk to them, and feel like we experience everything they are going through.

J.D. Robb- Eve Dallas Series
Piers Anthony- Zanth Novels
Jim Butcher- Harry Dresden Novels, not the graphic novels. Too short.
Steve:
J.R.R. Tolkien- The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings
Raymond Feist- All of this novels
Terry Brooks- All of his novels
I can’t get enough of the final two authors.
What are you working on now?
We are currently working on a stand alone book that continues sometime after the trilogy. He book has yet to be named. It concerns the ongoing battles between the elves of light and the dark elves and their fondness of vampirism.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Advertising on websites such as this one, and using interviews lle this one to get the word out.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing even if you get tired or have writer’s block. The tread will return.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Believe in what you are writing.
What are you reading now?
I’m rereading The Hobbit.
What’s next for you as a writer?
More writing. I have two books being edited and need to get the next one organized.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would take The Lord of the Rings. These were the first fantasies I read as a child. They really started my love of fantasy works.
