Interview With Author Steven McFadden
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ll soon be 75, and I’m still standing, still writing, still loving. Thank heavens. Bonus: there is still something to eat in the refrigerator. For all these basic miracles of survival, I give thanks.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Native Knowings – is a compilation of quotations from various elders I have known over my career as an independent journalist. Considering the state of the world in 2023–an ongoing cascade of natural and social disasters–I understood at a core level that the insights of the elders would be steadying for many people.
