Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
It is always easier to pen down a description of something else. Well, that’s what I master, I am a content writer, a blogger, a poetess, a biotechnologist and sometimes just a determined women. I have been writing since I was in 8th standard, continuously building an Adobe with my words. I have contributed in one book. It’s an anthology called as “Bonmot Yarns”. This book was my first feature. I am working on my own storyline now, but it will take a while to complete.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book was an anthology, a collection of poetry which was compiled by Randhir Kaur. It is available on Amazon. The book is titled as “Bonmot Yarns”. I am a featured poet in this collection.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Oh yes!! Speaking of unusual habits, I have plenty. I am a dreamer, a late night puller. Sometimes I wake up in middle of the night to write down some points. I am a person who prefers diaries and pencils over typing anyday. My thoughts are dark. I write about sadness more and express it in an all together different extent.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am a reader, I also love to write book reviews on my personal page. Recently I finished the second book of a book series known as “Red Queen”. One of it’s popular quote says “anyone can betray anyone” and i have never heard a more realistic quote.
I have also felt highly influenced by thrill novels by Author’s such as Sidney Sheldon and Agatha Christie. The books by these authors have always strike a different chord with me.
I love Sudha Murthy and Twinkle Khanna in the Indian authors.
What are you working on now?
I am working on a story currently published in parts on my Blog. I have built an idea for my novel, a name is yet in thought process.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“You just have to keep going. Just trust yourself, your capabilities, stop comparing yourself with others and keep doing a little better every passing day”.
What are you reading now?
I am reading the third book from Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. I am also reading “3000 stitches” by Sudha Murthy on kindle.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Writer’s never stop. There’s always something. For now, i would say, time will tell.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
“Big little Lies”, ” and then, there were none” and “looking for alaska”
