About Tales of Kurohama (Origins Arc)
There is one city in Japan that is unique. In the 80s, Kurohama is quiet, rigid, and surrounded by mountains. Japan, the world, and the people look away. Beneath all that militaristic glamor hides clans, government fraud, and children who are forced to fight.
However, among them are two boys.
Hiko Niiyama is one and lives in the Lower District. He was taken in by Mr. Takei and two others. The Lower District is a perfect place for spies. Hiko must go against the system. Even if he is being hurt by them.
Mukzuo Nakauzkio lives around people who never got over tradition. He was taken by Ken’o Nakazukio, his grandfather. Sadly, his clan is dying; Mukzuo is the last. He adapts to a system built on control.
Both are only ten years old. Hiko and Mukzuo. People die by spirits, the government, and more. They are living their lives, but to survive, they must be under the Kurohama Way.

Hello everyone,
I am Mizuki Deluca. This is the first story I have written and stuck to. Tales of Kurohama was a lot. I had this idea for three years in my head before writing. During the Spring of 2025, I wrote out the first draft in two weeks. It was fifteen chapters long and went into another arc. I continued writing, but then I cut it down.
I got my ideas from anime and musical theatre. When I am not writing, I am outside or playing music.
Thank you for reading this book. Put at least five months into writing and editing.
When I was young, I made many mini-books of my own, but they have been lost to time forever.
I am very surprised at myself for making this book. After everything in life that has offered me, I choose this.
If you didn’t know, this story was a comedy before it became the dark fantasy it is today. I had this idea in my head for three years before I started writing.
