About The Deadly Trail
Dean Ryker was a loner. He had been for all of his adult life and more so since the death of his parents. He had been made an orphan before his 19th birthday. The only thing that Dean liked to do was to go hunting.
It was whilst returning from a hunting trip almost a year ago that he witnessed a man being murdered. The man had been shot dead in cold blood by an outlaw named Sebastian Carson. Carson and his gang did not know, at the time, that Dean had witnessed the murder but when Carson was tried in court, Dean swore under oath that Carson had murdered the man. Despite Dean’s testimony, Carson was only convicted of manslaughter and was sent to 12 months in prison.
Furious at being sent to jail, Carson was released after 9 months and swore to get revenge on the two men who sent him to jail; the trial Judge, Oliver Lloyd and Dean Ryker.
Dean Ryker traded the furs that he obtained on his hunting trips with a tribe of friendly Cheyenne Indians. Dean was a good friend of Chief Spotted Wolf, the Chief of the village, and had been since saving his life a few years earlier. When Chief Spotted Wolf asks Dean to do him another favour and bring a beautiful Indian maiden called Inayat from a village almost 600 miles away to his village so that she can be his new bride, it begins a chain of events that puts Dean’s life in mortal danger.
Dean has an ally however, a woman that he met at the trial of Sebastian Carson almost a year ago and who now is a friend. Dean’s friend, Belinda Jennings, who also happened to be the daughter of the man that was murdered by Sebastian Carson, finds out that Carson is in the process of hunting Dean down to get his revenge on him for testifying against him and which resulted in Carson himself going to jail.
By this time Dean has begun his 1200 mile journey to Inayat’s village and back so that she can marry Chief Spotted Wolf. It is up to Belinda Jennings, therefore, to set out on the trail to try to find Dean and warn him of the danger that he may be in before Sebastian Carson and his gang catch up with him.

Author Bio:
Hello fellow readers. My name is Stuart McIntyre and I live in Scotland with my wife and son. I am an unpaid carer for my family who do not keep in the best of health. Ever since I can remember I have always enjoyed reading. I was seldom without a book in my hand. I enjoyed reading Thrillers, Crime novels, Horror novels and Westerns. An interest in reading Westerns and watching Western movies prompted me to write my first novel “Cameron of Carson Creek” which I wrote during the limited free time that I had whilst caring for my family. I have since written several other novels, details of which can be found on the Amazon website. I do not write books for profit, I simply write for the enjoyment of doing so and hope that at the same time I give enjoyment to anyone who reads my books. If anyone is kind enough to read one of my books I would be much obliged if they could leave a rating and a review on the Amazon website. I welcome all types of feedback good or bad. The good feedback is pleasant to read and the negative feedback will help me to improve my writing. Thank you to all readers of my books; past, present and future and thank you fellow authors. Happy reading.
