Author Bio:
Real estate is my passion. Selling real estate is all I have done my entire adult life. Over the years I have made every mistake possible so you don’t have to.
In the beginning, real estate wasn’t all fame and fortune like I thought it would be. I had visions of grandeur even though I had absolutely no business experience.
At the ripe young age of twenty-one, I got this wild hair about going to school to get my real estate license. Let’s put it this way, I was in the bottom one-third of the real estate class that made the upper two-thirds of the class possible. I learned just enough to be dangerous!
Not to worry! I sold a lot during my first year in real estate. I sold my furniture, I sold my jewelry, and I sold my car! Fortunately, I can laugh about it now.
I was able to quickly turned my career around when I made the decision to hone my craft and commit to a lifetime of continuous learning and personal development.
Selling a house is a major life and financial step. I realize many of you may only go through two or three real estate transactions during your lifetime. If you don’t do this every day, learning how to sell a house can absolutely cause some fear and anxiety. This is especially true if you are selling your house by owner.
One of my goals is to shorten your learning curve and help you profit from my experience. I have vast experience and knowledge of the real estate industry for you to take advantage of. I have been a real estate agent involved in selling thousands of homes. I have been a real estate investor personally buying and selling nearly 200 properties. I have been a landlord in the past holding 20+ properties at any given time. I have been a real estate broker/owner of my own successful real estate company.
For nine years I produced and host a weekly one-hour Showcase of Homes television show on cable TV. I also hosted a “live” one-hour weekly radio show named “Real Estate On The Radio.” In addition, I have written hundreds of consumer real estate articles and reports as well as being mentioned in other books on real estate.
Real estate has been good to me. At this point in my life, I feel an urge to give back. I enjoy being able to do this and I gain personal satisfaction knowing the information in my books will help people.
I have earned many designations and certifications, but I am especially proud of being honored and selected into the “Who’s Who” in Residential Real Estate in North America.
Here are a few of the other accolades earned during my career.
Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI)
Consumer Certified Real Estate Consultant (CCREC)
Certified Real Estate Owned (REO) Specialist
Short Sale and Foreclosure Resources designation (SFR)
Certified Real Estate Broker (CRB)
Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) As a CRS, I made the top 4% of all Realtors nationwide.
When not writing books, I enjoy going to the mountains to relax and view the beautiful rolling mountains, rivers, awesome waterfalls, and lakes. Spending time with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren keeps me busy.
NOTE:I would be remiss if I did not come back to give you this update about my real estate practice. Due to medical issues I have had to transition away from doing real estate. I have always enjoyed providing helpful information to the consumer and will continue writing about real estate.
