About The Infoboros : Recursion Across Mind, Matter, and Information by Vidur Mishra

Vidur Mishra (Information Scientist and Yogi) presents “The Infoboros: Recursion Across Mind, Matter, and Information”
The Infoboros shows #recursion and #information to be two different aspects of a unitary universal phenomenon. In the participatory feedback loop of #observer and #reality , recursion drives and regulates the flow of information, and information self-referentially triggers recursion.
The Infoboros is an information-eater. It is here to eat the strange loop of information that eats you. In a glorious tapestry woven from #informationtheory , #logic , #quantumphysics , #neurophenomenology , #linguistics , #computation , and the contemplative science of #tantra , Vidur Mishra’s The Infoboros reminds us who and what we are, again.
Recursion is both an unbridled power and an endless issue (source of repetitive deceptions and knots) for a sentient being such as a human. If recursion spirals out of your hands, then life will slip away too. It will pick you apart and then Knock Out you. This is what has happened to humanity as it became one-dimensionally obsessed with representational cognition (via virtual symbolic reference) and forgot its many other profound organismic assets and qualities. A decent chunk of the world has endless external conveniences and ever-increasing distribution of models about many things, but it is rare for people to have an extremely deep experience (on a daily basis) of their own existence. Many can articulate and argue really well endlessly, but hardly anyone is always Alice in Wonderland. In simpler words, as Sadhguru says, “People have fallen too much in love with words and have lost the actual world.”
On the other hand, if recursion is consciously and energetically mastered, then you become the weaver of your own fate. You become a Tantric. “Tan” signifies “to loom or weave.” Tantra means “To Weave Your Destiny On Your Will.” Then no matter how wild things get (even on the cosmic level), within yourself, you will remain absolutely unfettered, untouched.
The meta symbol of Ouroboros is a universal morphism map that can encode and map almost anything and everything onto itself. It can unite many other maps by and onto itself. It can be extended infinitely. It puts the observer back into the dynamic reality that the observer infinitely participates in and further generates endlessly. It puts the modeler back into the infinite (undivided wholeness) reality that it always incompletely discerns, dissects, and models. It points to the unchanging unmoved mover that self-causes itself into infinite changing living manifestations and then participates (plays) with(in) them without being changed by them. In Yogic traditions, it encodes the most potent coiled serpent of Kundalini that magnifies in its explosive magnitude as it spirals upward through each iteration, the self-created cycle of Samsara, the self-negation of Nirvana, the self-sealing of Mahamudra, the self-knowledge of Veda, the self-unification of Yoga, the self-illumination of Atman, the self-reality of Brahman, the self-dancing movement of Shakti, the self-stilling-silencing dissolution of Shiva.
You can cut through your physical body cleanly into your energy body by using your razor-sharp awareness and deeply experience major chakras, especially the rare ones extending outside the frame of the physical body to have a subtle rotatory movement as depicted by the cover of the Infoboros. A chakra can be experienced to be continuously folding back upon itself. By continuously eating itself, it contains itself. It keeps itself still on one spot and prevents dispersion. But in every iteration, by eating itself, it also again triggers its reverberation. So, it keeps whirling on one spot like a whirlpool wheel. Hence, it is called chakra (wheel of energy). A chakra is an Infoboros of recursive energetic information. The Infoboros is a chakra of recursive semantic information.
The universe, as a whole, is a pure recursive play of active intelligence on itself, by itself. The Ouroboros is a tail eater. The Infoboros is an information-eater. Eat all your karmic (recurring active) information. Eat the strange loop that eats you, and be free.
The book has received advance praise from people like Padma Shri winner (spiritual scientist) Subhash Kak, Psychology Today blogger Bobby Azarian, Psychedelic Scientist Richard Doyle, and others.

Author Bio:
In this brief life so far, Vidur Mishra has spent a lot of time doing nothing while doing quite a few decent things but none as marvelous as doing nothing. During the pandemic of 2020 that baby-shook the already distressed information-overloaded planet, he graduated with a B.S. in Information Sciences and Technology and a minor in Philosophy from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University, Pennsylvania, USA. Well, it seems he is well equipped to jump in this uncertain sea of information. Not primarily because of his education. But because of his practice in meditation that allows him to discern signal from noise patiently—with compassion towards his fellow sentient beings. A graceful practice that allows him to mindfully navigate the “strange loop” of dualistic thought, intellect, language, logic, and tech-driven materialistic culture.
Vidur completed an undergraduate honors thesis. It explores 1) eastern philosophy and practices of mind (esp. Advaita Vedanta and Dzogchen) to dissolve self-referential egoic thought and 2) the western theories of consciousness, such as integrated information theory and strange loops, to understand and model how thought and ego emerge due to the self-referential movement of recursive semantic information. Since the consumption of sensory and symbolic information recursively consumes attention and feeds the ego, it has become ever more important to take some meditative practice in this information-overloaded age. As such, Vidur practices kriya yoga, self-inquiry and sh00nya meditations, mad ecstatic bhakti, and wise surgical jnana. Sometimes, he supplements this practice with silent dancing mime, psychedelic visionary art, and kooky eerie poetry.
Since a very young age, Vidur knew that he knows nothing. As such, he shut up and naturally abided in silence and stillness. He didn’t know what else to do. Hence, as Wittgenstein famously said, “Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.” Vidur has been very grateful to the universe for blessing his path with many blissful teachers who have nurtured his understanding of the view and abidance in the state of primordial, selfless, thoughtless consciousness. Some of these beings include Ramakrishna and Richard Doyle (the ecstatic bhakti duo), Ramana Maharshi and Gary Weber (the calm jnana duo), Adi Shankara and Franklin Merrell-Wolff (the indifferent surgical jnana duo), Sadhguru (the energy kriya man), and Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche (the effortless spontaneous man). For example, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche initiated Richard Doyle, and Richard Doyle recursively initiated Vidur into Dzogchen non-meditation meditation without any physical effort-based initiation process. The initiation was as spontaneous, effortless, choiceless, formless, thoughtless, and natural as the primordial awareness itself. As it is. Then, there is a whole bunch of people who taught him academic information-cognitive science and philosophy. John Wheeler is one such eccentric being—a self-excited circuit in this participatory universe. David Deutsch, Douglas Hofstadter, Philip K. Dick, Wittgenstein, etc. follow.
However, there is one sentient being who has shaken Vidur madly from the very core of his existence like none other. It is the primordial guru Adiyogi (First Yogi) Shiva himself. Who is Shiva? Shiva is that which is not. As such, Vidur has now only one unfettered seeking—to dissolve fully in the Great Space (Maha Kala) of Parama Shiva (Absolute Nothingness). Liberated. Free.
Vidur’s first book The Infoboros: Recursion Across Mind, Matter, and Information is now available on Amazon. After a long evolutionary and selection process driven by semantic information, it has recursively emerged out of nowhere.
