About The Knight’s Healer
A healer with a secret past.
A knight on a mission to discover a nobleman’s plot to start a war.
Together they face the evil forces out to destroy them.
1205, during King John’s reign
With war imminent between Rylan’s father’s fife and a neighboring baron’s, Rylan disguises himself as a woodcutter to spy upon the enemy’s castle. It also affords him an opportunity to get a look at the Baron’s daughter, a potential wife selected by his father for him. Only he’s discovered and, while fleeing, an arrow pierces his shoulder. Fortunately, he stumbles upon a healer’s cottage. Beguiled by her elegance, refined speech, and intellect, he suspects she’s the illegitimate daughter of a nobleman.
Having witnessed her mother’s violent death as a young child, Annora’s nurse spirited her away to where she now lives a quiet life as a village healer. Then she discovers a badly wounded stranger hiding in her cottage and becomes caught up in a web of deceit and treachery. First, she’s accused of witchcraft by the Baron’s daughter, and when Rylan’s identity is discovered, her roll in helping him comes with charge of treason.
Amid deceit and betrayal, Rylan and Annora learn to trust one another and love blooms.
Then Rylan is captured and Annora’s role in aiding him comes to light.
While his noble heritage protects him, can he save Annora from certain death?
