About The Last Transaction by Muhammad Usman Naeem
The Last Transaction — A Dystopian Masterpiece About the Price of Freedom
What would you trade to survive?
Your memories? Your family heirlooms? Your very humanity?
In a world ruled by the ShareBox—a machine that takes everything and gives back only enough to breathe—freedom is a currency no one can afford. Streets once alive with laughter are now silent. Childhood toys, wedding rings, family photographs—all swallowed by the glowing slot of the machine. And every beep is a reminder: you don’t own your life anymore.
Until one man refuses.
Arin never set out to be a hero. Haunted by guilt and loss, he stumbles into a rebellion born from whispers in the shadows. Together with Selene, a woman whose fire sparks hope in the broken, Arin dares to believe the impossible: that even in a city shackled by fear, embers can rise into flame.
But defeating machines is only the beginning. When the towers fall, the real battle begins—against greed, against betrayal, against the darkness inside human hearts. Can a city ripped apart by control and hunger rebuild itself without creating new chains? And can Arin hold onto his soul when every choice demands sacrifice?
This is not just a dystopian thriller. It is a human story of loss, love, rebellion, and the final choice that defines us all.
Because freedom doesn’t come from the last battle.
It comes from The Last Transaction.
Perfect for fans of 1984, The Hunger Games, and Station Eleven, this novel will break your heart and set it on fire again—leaving you asking long after the final page: What would I give up to be free?

Author Bio:
I am Hafiz Malik Muhammad Usman Naeem, I reside in the beautiful country of Pakistan. I am actually a student but also a part time author – trying to be independent and reduce the burden on my parents. I have crafted my very first novel ‘The Last Transaction’ with a lot of dedication and effort – ensuring everyone likes it. I am currently doing O’levels in Pakistan and I am a keen software and website developer also. I have developed a lot of websites and applications but nothing seemed to work as I expected. But, with high moral, this time I am pretty sure that everyone would like this dystopian sci-fi novel as well as my future novels.
