The Purple Dress by Wendy Bird
The Purple Dress by Wendy Bird is a heartwarming, true story that teaches children the joy and impact of giving. Told through the real-life experience of an eight-year-old girl in the United States, this beautifully illustrated book shows how a simple act of generosity changed the life of a twelve-year-old girl living in a remote jungle in the Philippines. More than just a story, The Purple Dress offers an engaging, interactive experience—inviting children to reflect on giving, draw their own visions of generosity, and search for a hidden mouse on each page. With illustrations created by Filipino artists, the book also supports global artisans, making it a meaningful gift and teaching tool. Perfect for parents and grandparents who want to instill compassion, empathy, and global awareness in the hearts of young readers.
