About The Reluctant Ones
Earth as we know it will never be the same . . .
Earth’s sky is penetrated by an alien spacecraft that crashes into a hillside. Miraculously the military is able to save three infants from the wreckage. These three survivors are placed in foster homes until they are twenty.
As an adult, they obtain jobs in the depressed seaside port of Grimsdale. The trio is unaware the military has plans to test their ‘abilities’ with eight other individuals. Unbeknown to the group, the future holds hidden truths and a pathway to horror.
The first sinister test involves eight terrifying monsters. This attack is one filled with brutality and bloodshed. Will the eleven superpowers be enough to fight off the impending evil and chaos? Or will they perish under the English sky?

Author Bio:
David Bond has loved mystery and horror for as long as he can remember. A retired Floridian now living in Thailand, David spends his days pursuing his passion for writing. Crediting his co-workers for pushing him into writing his debut novel ‘The Cemetery 6: Tales of Terror,’ released in September of 2022. David puts pen to paper with his creative imagination, continuously straddling fear of the unknown and the excitement of the thrill. After writing the 2nd book in the series, ‘Festival of Fear,’ and then completing the series with his 3rd book, ‘Graveyard Stories,’; a fitting entry as all eleven stories revert to the cemetery where it all started.
Drawing his desire to write from life experiences—like working as a hotel Night Manager—David tips his hat to genius writers like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Edgar Allen Poe, and Jack Ketchum.
In his latest book, ‘The Reluctant Ones’, David looks at alien life from a different perspective and how they may interact and be received by humans.
When he’s not writing his next great book, David can be found with his beloved wife Annah, exploring the land of smiles, and immersing themselves in Thai culture and traditions.
David stays actively involved in his Thai community by volunteering at the local “International Committee of the Red Cross” office. He often speaks with teens at the local high school in Nan about the English Language and encourages them to follow their dreams.
