About The Russian Stratagem by Steven Jacobs
Imagine waking up in a small town in Alaska with a head injury and not remembering anything about yourself. You have no idea who you are, where you are, or how you got there. All you know is that the villagers adopted you and gave you the name “John,” as in John Doe.
While you heal, you and others in the community are drawn to the mysterious cube found in your belongings, the likes of which no one has ever seen before. Shortly it becomes apparent that somehow the cube is the key to unlocking who you really are.
One day, two people were found murdered in the nearby woods, and John was seen in the area. Being the main suspect, he was taken to the village lockup while the crime was investigated, and that is where his troubles really began.
John was forcibly abducted from lockup by men claiming to be US servicemen there to take him home, but they couldn’t have said anything further from the truth. John realized too little too late that his “saviors” were merely more sinister captors, intent on one thing—making him talk about the secrets of the cube using any means necessary. After breaking free of his captors using abilities he didn’t know he possessed, John is now on the run with the mysterious cube in an unknown land with one burning question. Who am I?
This is a tantalizing spy thriller that will surely keep you guessing as John uncovers the question of who he is, and more importantly, what the cube has to do with everything.

Author Bio:
Steven Jacobs was born in 1971 in Wilmington, North Carolina, and at an early age, he became interested in all aspects of history. He became a history buff by watching old movies with his father that contained great actors such as Cary Grant, John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Steve McQueen, and others.
Later in high school, Steven excelled in United States history, especially in the turbulent years of the early to mid-1900s. This is where his love for military history flourished. By the time Steven was thirty-five years old, he had read countless books on United States history with a focus on the era of World War II.
At the age of forty-five, he wrote his first book about the disappearance of a German U-boat in World War II called The Disappearance of U-491. Steven had such a wonderful time writing his first book; he continued writing and, to date, has just finished his eighth book.
Now at the age of fifty, Steven lives in Columbia, South Carolina, with his wife and son, and he has worked for the government for thirteen years.
