About The Santa Monica Murders: An unputdownable crime thriller with a chilling twist! by Daniel Cleaver
A bizarre serial killer’s crime spree needs a bizarre detective . . . meet Spooky Jackson!
Detective Spooky Jackson heads the Homicide Special Section, a citywide task force, specializing in the arrest of Serial killers and he has been tasked with capturing the Ripper, who’s brutality is incomparable, literally ripping apart the body of the still conscious victim and removing their organs until they die.
Spooky figures that the homicide location will mean working with some old adversaries from when he worked in the vice department, where due to his integrity he blew the whistle on their widespread corruption resulting in some serving jail time, with those that remained having been sent to the boondocks swearing revenge.
Worse still, while dodging the Rat Squad looking into his unorthodox methods, he discovers to his horror that he is to be partnered with Katie, an ex-colleague, who had a very good reason to despise him. He realizes with a sinking dread that the Ripper is recreating the crimes of arguably the most famous killer of all time . . .
If you like driven but appealing heroes, Californian settings, and a dollop of humor, then you will love Daniel Cleaver’s murder series.

Author Bio:
I’ve been stabbed twice, had a gun pulled on me once. They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger – I disagree, it made me angry and longing for revenge.
I’ve lived On The West Coast, the East Coast and 15 other States between the two. I’ve been homeless, one time living in a car up in the Rocky Mountains with two other people. I’ve had handouts from soup kitchens, pan-handled and done various jobs including working in restaurant kitchens (which was hot!) as a roofer in Florida (even hotter!) and I dropped out of school to become a Carnie. All these occupations and the crazy people I’ve met along the way have helped shape Spooky.
I’ve also had my own share of mental issues and thought why not have the hero of a novel inflicted likewise, but still be able to function normally – well, normalish.
When not writing I can be found lurking in background of movies and TV shows as a Support Artist.
