Mariana Buric is a Romanian writer, award-winning screenwriter, and lawyer with a background in pedagogy. Her love for writing fiction, especially for children, stems from her own childhood experiences.
Growing up, Mariana was surrounded by the rich stories of her village’s people. These narratives portrayed real lives and significant challenges, such as the great hunger, the communist era, and wartime struggles. Despite the hardships, Mariana found these stories captivating, as they introduced her to real-life heroes. For her, these tales were evidence that good ultimately triumphs over evil and that overcoming life’s challenges indeed strengthens individuals. This hope has accompanied her throughout her life.
One day, Mariana discovered that writing children’s stories brought her immense joy—a joy she felt compelled to share. She believes it is a “state of the heart” that cannot be ignored. Through her stories, she aims to bring smiles to little ones and inspire them to become better individuals.
