About Thirsty Ground
After a mishap in 1975 near Wimbledon, North Dakota, Simon Anderson’s mother hides her infant away from prying eyes. The same misfortune inspires six-year-old Simon to be a preacher when he grows up. He meets Nora Toogoody and a bond is formed.
Nora moves away, and a woman who’s both beautiful and clever walks into Simon’s life, threatening all he holds dear. His grades plummet, forcing Simon to return to the family farm.
Organic agriculture leads to a restaurant in Simon’s name and a family incident opening day. A beloved town police officer handles the scene discreetly, but when Nora returns, Simon realizes the cop has a vendetta.
And it’s personal.
