Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Thomas L. Hay was raised in the Golden Valley of Clinton, Missouri. He is a graduate of the 1961 Clinton Senior High class. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman aboard the USS Hancock, during the Vietnam war. He retired after a 39-year career with TWA/American Airlines. He currently resides in Lake Waukomis, Missouri, with his lovely wife, along with some hyperactive squirrels, too many irritating geese, and a few cranky old catfish.
He has published four books, including his memoirs, “The Comeback Kid”.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“The Abduction Chronicles” is based on some true life events. The story just popped into my head after I wrote my memoirs.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I started out writing with pen and paper. Turned out to be a total mess, with arrows and notes scribbled everywhere. That’s when my wife suggested I get a computer. But then the computer and I had issues, but through trial and error, we became friends.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Most sci-fi books and reading memoirs of our American hero’s in the service of our country.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on trying to win the lottery. Haven’t been having much luck.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Haven’t found one yet outside my own.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t quite your day job.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Stupid is as stupid does.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Am working on a sequel to “The Abduction Chronicles”.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
My own books. Would be a good time to reflect on any changes.
