About Through the Fire: A Pilgrimage of Poetry by Nolan Watson
My book is a collection of 33 poems inspired by The Divine Comedy. Unlike most poetry collections, it has a sort of narrative arc. I think the blurb on my back cover summarizes my book best, so I will include it here:
Inspired by The Divine Comedy, this collection of poetry follows a pilgrim who, like Dante, has strayed from the true path and is now lost.
Delivered from death by a heavenly woman, the pilgrim meets a mysterious guide who leads him through the fires of hell, where they come upon souls enslaved to sin and the evil that seeks to devour humanity.
The pilgrim is then led up a winding mountain path, where souls wrestle to overcome their wickedness, and he seeks freedom from his own.
Then he ascends beyond the mountain, where he encounters the saints and the ineffable glory of God.
To the uninitiated, journey alongside the pilgrim and glimpse the wisdom of The Divine Comedy. To lovers of Dante’s Commedia, rekindle your affection and gain new insight.

Author Bio:
Hello, I am a first-time author from Canada. I was never into writing, especially poetry, when I was younger, but I stumbled into it several years ago, and I now have a much greater appreciation for poetry and literature.
My hobbies include reading, making music, and watching hockey.
I also suffer from a neuromuscular disorder called Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It is rather debilitating, but I am still able to write.
