Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I like electronic music a lot! Particularly trance and dance music, they’re the genres that help me set the right mood for writing. I’ve written 6 books so far, three of them are in English: one stand-alone fantasy-action novel “Kyle’s Nightmare” and two books in the epic fantasy series “The Arid Kingdom”.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Kyle’s Nightmare” is my latest book and, strangely, what inspired me to write it was a normal day while waiting at the bus station. But when I started writing it I related to a memory from my high school days. Kyle is a young man who discovers he is in a dream but he can’t wake up. Something like that happened to me. I was sleeping and, in my dream, all of a sudden I realized it was just a dream. I pinched my skin but I didn’t wake up immediately. I had enough time to look around the place inside the dream. Obviously, after a minute or so, I woke up. A weird experience, yet so inspiring!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
If daydreaming is considered unusual then that’s it. I never start writing before staring into space for a long while or daydreaming while doing house chores or while walking outside.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I don’t have a particular author or book that influenced me. But I do think all the books that I’ve read are stored somewhere in my subconscious and they influence me without me being aware of that.
What are you working on now?
The third book in the “Arid Kingdom” series and the stand-alone, yet connected to “Kyle’s Nightmare”, fantasy novel “Mattia’s Dream”. Mattia is Kyle’s younger brother.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m still trying to figure out that one.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Remember if it’s your passion then you must fight for it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Have patience and be persistent.
What are you reading now?
Sadly, I’m stuck on marketing materials…
What’s next for you as a writer?
Getting my first 10 reviews for any of my books.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Definitely survival books! I am not going to rely on any fictional book—no matter how much I love it—for living on a desert island. I put reason first! If I want to have the chance to read more than 4 awesome books, I must survive and get back to the normal world. (laughs)
