Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hello everyone, I’ve always dreamed of writing my own book one day, but that initial idealistic notion eluded me for many years until self-publishing became a reality in the recent years, and it’s hard to describe in words how that touches me to some extent. It’s not just about fame and money only, though to be honest, earning some allowances act as an incentive for me to keep on writing educational books to help others who need to learn more about the psyche of the opposite gender and know the right techniques to handle them so that relationships do not turn out awry. However, I do have a secret wish : To build a reader base that enjoys reading what I’ve written so far and helps to spread the positive knowledge without impacting on my copyrights.
And it would be nice if readers would at least make the effort to leave some comments on my book so that I know someone did read it after all.
Up to date, I’m happy to say that I’ve completed a couple of books in the Love Matters series of dating guides, namely – “Go Getter Guy Secrets To Successful Dates,” “Get Him To Propose In 80 Days” and “Red Flag : Is Distrust Tearing Your Marriage Apart?” I might produce some other books to continue along the same series, and I would like to sincerely appeal to my readers fans to connect with me subsequently on my blog which I plan to revise in the next few months, but just feel free to drop me a comment or email there so that I can update you on the forthcoming book releases.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is – “Red Flag : Is Distrust Tearing Your Marriage Apart.” It discusses how jealousy is defined and probes on the destructive effects of letting irrational jealousy take over and wreck the good relations you have built up with your spouse across the years. What I really wanted to write about was also the kind of secrets men and women tend to keep from one another – something which is at the very heart of what women really want to know – of course, men will try not to reveal too much at times, simply to avoid straining the ties. Then, on the other hand, there is indeed a need for women to arm themselves with some prerequisite information about their spouses, in order to restore trust and save their marriage from falling apart. I must say…I was probably inspired by what I felt women are struggling with in this modern age – the building of trust when temptations are abound and making us forget about what mattered to us in the first place when we met the love of our lives – so I thought it was something of vital importance for both men and women to work on as a team to resolve the tension that’s growing within their love nests.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Well, I don’t think I have any unusual habits, except for writing at a slower pace and having some mental block on and off.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I liked reading some dating books written by various Indie authors as some are pretty amusing and interesting. While some others have some fluff in it which does not really suit me. I am also a fiction buff who enjoys reading historical romances, Sophie Kinsella’s books and other romantic comedy books.
What are you working on now?
Well, I am trying to get more reviews for my books and also work on setting up a book landing page for my books in the consecutive months ahead. Hopefully, it can be done by the end of this year or in the early part of Year 2016.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have no best method so far, unless someone can enlighten me on how it’s possible to attract people to books by including freebies of some sort. It’s quite sad that this has to be one main way of promoting books, rather than liking a book for what it represents. At least, that’s what I thought before I began self publishing. At present, I have a simple site – http://www.kindleebooksshowcase.wordpress.com and readers are welcome to follow my blog. I am hoping to find more time to post some short articles up there and it would be nice to have some reviews and comments in my blog in future.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Not really…because I am so new to this.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write…and write more…..don’t give up!
What are you reading now?
Secrets Of Mind Power by Lorayne
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’d like to find people who are keen to review my books and opt in to my mailing list because they really enjoy reading my books. Also, I hope to put up my books on other platforms to reach out to other readers who do not use the Kindle for reading.
