Interview With Author Toby Dallas
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a lifelong practitioner of ninjutsu, kenjutsu, and Shugendō, with over 40 years of experience training in the ancient warrior arts. I spent a decade living in Japan, deeply immersing myself in the philosophy and practices of the ninja and samurai. Drawing from this rich heritage, I’ve written 9 books that blend timeless Japanese warrior wisdom with modern strategies for mindset mastery, influence, and success.
My work helps readers unlock hidden mental power, develop quiet presence, and cultivate strategic influence—transforming not only their external world but their inner lives as well. Perception is Power is a culmination of decades of study and practice, designed to empower anyone to master their environment through subtle, effective presence.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Perception is Power: The Shinobi’s Hidden Art of Influence and Presence. It was inspired by my decades-long journey studying the secret mental arts of the ninja and samurai—ancient masters of subtle influence, strategic silence, and presence.
I wanted to share these hidden psychological tools with modern readers who struggle to be seen, heard, or respected in today’s fast-paced world. The ninja’s mastery of perception—how to shape what others believe without force or noise—is a powerful skill anyone can learn to transform their personal and professional life.
