Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Tonia Root, Autor of Gage My Beautiful Boy. I am a new writer, as this is the first book I have written this far. I am a home health care provider, and what inspired me to write my book, is that at the age of 3, my little boy was being pulled in a wagon and hit by a drunk driver. What inspired me to write the story, was the unbeatable odds that were given to us by doctors. They told me he would never walk, talk, or feed himself, or even know who I am.
It has been a lot of medical procedures, surgeries, therapy, along with many other things including family inspiring him and his determination and he has over came
the prognosis we were given. I just had to tell the world about our long journey, as he is now 14 years old and doing a lot.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I feel my son is here for a reason, beating all the odds he has, he is here for a reason, as a writer maybe the next book I write will be with him to tell what he became, and
what kind of difference he made in the world. As I believe it will be huge.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
